Eeeh, fine.  There’s just a ringing somewhere in the house and its—

[Sylar just shrugs, moving a hand up to cover his ear for a moment or so, eyes closing as his other hand grabs blindly for the chips.]

Just annoying.

[He moved the chips a bit closer to make it easier for Sylar.]

Ringing? I don’t… I don’t hear anything?

You wouldn’t.  You don’t have my hearing.

[He opens his eyes again when it seems the pitch has finally died down, assuming the little machine that had been making it stopped.]

What your movie you’re gonna miss some torture.

detectivewayne:

Eh, she could do better. Besides, he’s got all the emotional baggage.

[He stuck several chips in his mouth at once, trying to watch the movie but finding himself distracted by Sylar. It wasn’t as though they were friends—if anything, Connor had at one point been afraid of what Sylar was capable of. Still, what he felt now wasn’t quite fear, nor was it really familiarity. It didn’t stop him from leaning over a bit, trying to catch the man’s gaze.]

Everything alright?

Eeeh, fine.  There’s just a ringing somewhere in the house and its—

[Sylar just shrugs, moving a hand up to cover his ear for a moment or so, eyes closing as his other hand grabs blindly for the chips.]

Just annoying.

[He nods once before setting the bag down again, chewing at the chips in his mouth rather than speaking.]

[He found it strange that Sylar said nothing, not even any snarky remarks. Carefully he reached over, plucking a few chips out, taking a glance at the TV before looking over at Sylar again.]

Looks t’me like th’secretary has a thing for her boss. What d’you think?

Of course.  I mean, did you look at the boss?

[He raises a brow and slouches a bit more on the couch, tipping his head to one side at the odd ambient ringing in his left ear.]
